Acute Kidney Failure

Acute Kidney Failure 2
Acute kidney failure, also known as acute kidney injury (AKI), is a sudden and rapid decline in kidney function that can occur within hours or days. This condition prevents the kidneys from effectively filtering waste, balancing fluids and electrolytes, and maintaining overall body function. AKI can be caused by a variety of factors, including severe infections, dehydration, certain medications, surgery, or conditions that reduce blood flow to the kidneys. Symptoms may include decreased urine output, swelling, fatigue, confusion, or nausea—but in some cases, there may be no obvious signs.
